NASA Space Apps Challenge, one of the largest hackathons held at an international level, will take place on 2-4 October 2020. The event, supported by the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) will take place online, the participating locations in Romania being Cluj-Napoca (for the fifth time) and Bucharest (the third time).
The competition is open to a large audience, with a wide range of expertise, working in different fields: pupils, students, programmers, scientists, professors, technologists, artists, designers, engineers, storytellers or entrepreneurs. To participate, you can register at this link.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and in the interest of our global community’s health and safety, this year’s hackathon will be an all-virtual event.
The theme for this year’s event — “Take Action” — is a critical reminder that you can make a difference, even from the comfort and safety of home.
The event is free and open to the public. Participation is limited to a number of 100 participants. The participants, in teams of 2-6 people, can choose an issue they want to solve depending on the field, difficulty range and interests. The team will present the solution to a jury of experts. The best solutions will then compete on a global level.
