The Drop Evaporation experiment intends to study evaporating sessile drops of pure fluids as well as complex mixtures with or without an electrical field. The scientific objectives are dealing with the heat transfer enhancement, the flow motion and the flow instabilities occurring in the drop and at the drop interface. In addition, the effect that the evaporation rate and the electrical fieldhave on the shape of the drop (including the apparent contact angle) will be measured precisely. The facility foreseen to host the Drop Evaporation Experiment Unit will be the European Drawer Rack 2 (EDR2). Main goal of the phase A/B1 study is to complete the System Requirement Review (SRR).In the frame of this procurement, prior to issuing the ITT, the Agency intends to issue an ESR Consultation on the list of open ITTs. The purpose of this consultation is to collect comments and questions from industry concerning the Experiment Scientific Requirements (ESR) and other documents applicable to this activity. These comments and questions can be answeredduring the period that the ESR Consultation is open and/or at a Briefing meeting to be organised at the end of the consultation period. After the closure of the consultation, the Agency may decide to update the ESR(s). In any case, the final requirements applicable will be those published at the time of issuing the ITT.
