The Sentinel Hub Custom Script Contest, for new ideas in Earth Observation

on 14 November 2019

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) is inviting you to take part in the Sentinel Hub Custom Script Contest, that is rewarding great ideas for producing new and interesting algorithms, to process Earth Observation data. The deadline to apply is 15 January 2020.

Sentinel Hub, together with its data partners, the Copernicus EU Earth Observation programme and the European Space Agency, are looking for new and innovative ideas and scripts for the EO Browser. The tool offers data from Copernicus Sentinel and ESA missions, with tools to visualise, analyse and process that wealth of data.

You can submit up to three different scripts until the deadline — 15 January 2020.

This remotely run hackathon engages data scientists, remote sensing scientists, students (from high school to university), and the general public worldwide, to share EO data available to everyone.

All the entries will be judged by experts on functionality and usefulness, as well as possible commercial potential.

The authors of the best three scripts will win attractive prizes, as well as the author(s) of the best script by a high schooler or high school team. The prizes are as follows:

All winners will also get an opportunity to highlight their winning scripts in the Sentinel Hub blog.
