The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites Romanian students to participate at the ninth edition of the Spin Your Thesis! programme, which will take place in the last quarter of 2018. The programme is organised by the Education Office of the European Space Agency (ESA) and is addressed to students who want to perform hyper-gravity experiments. The deadline to register is 5 November 2017.
The “Spin Your Thesis!” programme provides university students with the chance to perform experimental research in facilities usually not accessible to them. Under the coordination of professors from universities, team of students can submit proposals for experiments using the Large Diameter Centrifuge (LDC).
The students selected in the Spin Your Thesis! programme will be organised in teams of four or more members and they will have to develop their experiment in a period of 6 months, after which they will be granted the opportunity to access the LDC for two and a half days.
Participants from previous editions declared that the “Spin Your Thesis!” experience was useful “both at a personal level, as well as at a professional level”. Last edition teams even published the results of the experiments in a scientific journal.
Those who want to register for this programme are invited to read the eligibility criteria presented here.
