The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites Romanian students who have a CubeSat system designed to apply at the 2017 edition of the Fly Your Satellite programme, organised by the European Space Agency (ESA). The programme gives them the opportunity to launch their cubesats from the International Space Station to accomplish an educational mission.
Students interested in the programme must carefully read all eligibility criteria and conditions to apply. For this year’s edition, ESA is searching for teams of students who are actively working in a project for their university. The project should already provide a detailed plan of the system used for the respective satellite. The programme will accept both completed projects, as well as projects which are currently being developed.
Moreover, the teams of students have to make sure that their projects are compatible with ISS launching procedures, as well as comply with ISS requirements for satefy.
The teams should have a core of a minimum of eight members, four of which must be at PhD or Master level, as well as two supervisors.
Applications are open until 5 March 2017, 23:59 CET (00:59 Romania local time). A selection workshop for shortlisted teams is planned for May 2017.
