The Agency has adopted a predominantly outsourcing strategy for its IT operations ensuring a generally stable service provision andthe achievement of some of the traditional benefits associated with an outsourced service model such as control of cost and resources.The current IT outsourcing contracts for the esait end-user services and operations are based on a framework of existing contracts managed by corresponding Service Providers, in particular- Central Service Desk- Workplace Back-office services such as device management (Laptop/Desktop, Mobile Devices), Virtualised Workplace, Active Directory, Back-up, Printing, Messaging (Mail) and CollaborationAs part of the consolidation of the IT Outsourcing strategy and related service management orchestration, aimed to improve the quality and the efficiency of the services and related customer orientation in delivery of IT services to end users, ESA has decided to- continue to procure the service provision of the Central Service Desk delegating to Contractors (Service Providers) and including the interface and monitoring of any esait Service Providers such as Back-office, esacloud/Infrastructure, Communication/Network, Corporate Applications and ESACERT- insource to esait the Service management and orchestration , directly managing, through its esait Service Governance, the procurement of IT HW and SW, the coordination and supervision of their Service and Solution providers and its service and/or solution provisioning, the service integration management functions and transfer to operation of new Service
