Update Reason: Loaded a new Clarification (English version)
Current ESA and Copernicus Earth Observation (EO) missions are steadily increasing in volume, variety and complexity, interconnection, integration and delivery rate of data. This poses challenges to the way data are treated and brings about new requirements from the EO data user communities, in particular to be able to easily integrate their own discovery, visualisation, manipulation, analysis and processing tools into an harmonised framework, which should already provide basic functionalities. Among the basic functionalities most required by users, there is, e.g., fast dataset access and visualisation. In this context, the main objectives of the CORDS project are: 1) to identify or develop the technologies; 2) to prototype a framework for integrating geo-referenced data from different domains and data sources, including data streams, in a fashion that they can be used in a single fronted, with (near) real-time constraints.
