The TIGER Bridge project aims to continue the TIGER efforts strengthening the EO capacity and knowledge within the African water resource community. The main pillars of activities are to support the African TIGER community, to extend African-European research cooperation in water and food security and to maintain the open-source Water Observation Information System (WOIS) as one of the major TIGER capacity development tools. These activities will build on the TIGER Capacity Building Facility (TCBF) regional centres, networking and research activities as well as existing capacity building and training material. The open source WOIS software, code anddocumentation have been developed within the TIGER-NET project, which will provide the basis for the WOIS maintenance.
