The objective of this activity is to design, build and validate a detector characterization bench for confirming performance of detectors operating in the short wave infrared (SWIR) spectral region (1.0 – 2.5 µm). This bench will be used for characterizing various current and future SWIR detectors for ESAs Earth Observation missions. To ensure traceability of measurements to national standards, the Agency will seek ISO17025 accreditation of selected measurement procedures using the bench developed during this activity.
