This activity shall set up and support the SST-User Forum (SST-UF) to develop a single set of joint requirements for the SST core software. Since the SST software for orbit determination, correlation, catalogue maintenance and sensor scheduling is not sensor/system specific, a joint development and maintenance of such software for the various national systems in Europe has been identified as a cost-saver and enabler for interoperability and data and product compatibility. This activity will use the integrated and consolidated SST software as a starting point for this development, closing remaining functional and performance-related gaps. The activity will support ESA in collecting user requirements for the SST Core Software from the SST-UF, and propose the largest common subset. The activity will conclude with a System Requirements Review for this largest common subset that will become the development baseline for the first development baseline of the SST Core Software meeting SST-UF needs. In order to be ready for that further development process this activity shall refine the available software engineering setup and frameworks for the development and maintenance phase of the SST Core Software under the SST-UF community approach.
