In this activity, it will be analysed how radar systems can be used to detect and track NEOs. First, it will be analysed which European antennas might be used by compiling their key parameters like transmitter and receiver frequency, dish diameter, geographical location and peak power. Combinations of a receiving station that is different from the transmitting station will also be investigated. Existing algorithms for NEO detections will then be studied and further developed. Finally, simulations or, if possible, measurements will be performed to verify the proposed algorithms.
