Existing space missions can be used to demonstrate space-based observations of asteroids. One possibility is to use star trackers onboard ESA spacecraft. Is has been shown that these observations can be performed e.g. using the Lisa Pathfinder spacecraft. This contract will further exploit this opportunity.
