Update Reason: Summary updated

Existing active missions like GAIA, Planck and XMM have developed custom infrastructures enabling the provision of advanced solutions for the execution and instantiation of predefined data analysis processes (DAS-LT, GAVIP, PLAAVI, XMM-RISA). Despite having similar needs and objectives, these processes are implemented as part of isolated, vertical systems. This approach leads to a low level of software reusability and knowledge transfer across missions, increasing risks and costs. The main objective of this activity is toanalyse, design, develop, implement and validate the concept of a Multi Mission Science Exploitation and Preservation Platform (SEPP) Pipeline Management system. The SEPP Pipeline Management system shall target the Science Community as main end-users, providing them with the functionality to build custom data processors close to the data archives in order to promote their contributions in theform of extensions and customisations to the platform. Building on the same architectural principles, design activities shall drive the implementation of an infrastructure able to support the development of system-defined data processors as a basis for science operations pipelines. The purpose of this procurement proposal is to obtain the AC approval for having the work (SEPP) executed underthe contract as operational software, with all the intellectual property rights vested in the Agency.
