Industrial Policy Measure: C1 – Activities in open competition limited to the non-Larg…
Last Update Date: 20/06/2018
Update Reason: Tender issue

The activity aims to develop techniques (e.g. high sensitivity algorithms, data wipe off for Galileo, optimal data plus pilot combinations etc.) in order to enhance the capability of mass market receivers taking into account their typical resources constraints (limited power, memory, open loop platform etc…).The activity shall investigate the application of these techniques for phase and code tracking down to the detailed design of the techniques for different type of usage and in different type of environment. The activity shall investigate novel concepts, like vector open loop and open loop combination with standard techniques on top of the ones currently investigated in the open literature. Open loop and vector techniques appear to be promising techniques to combat channel impairments, when compared to traditional techniques in realistic urban environments. The activity shall analyse performances focusing on real implementation issues, and demonstrate them with the usage of a combination of real data and simulations. Developments of software tools in support to the analysis are required. The activity shall also provide inputs to the GALILEO evolution consolidation work by making recommendations regarding potential enhancement of the satellite system and navigation signal.Procurement Policy:C(1) = Activity restricted to non-prime contractors (incl. SMEs). For additional information please go to EMITS news “Industrial Policy measures for non-primes, SMEs and RD entities in ESA programmes”.
