PROJECT TITLE: Quantum correlated photon triplets for telecommunications — 3 photons

Description: The main goal of the project is to accomplish a scientific mission: to verify the hypothesis of the quantum correlation of three photons and validate the generating method of these photons. On this purpose, technological means will be designed and manufactured; characterization methods will be developed.

Project objectives: –


  • WP1 – Supply of instruments, components and materials
  • WP2 – Testing the stimulated SPDV emission
  • WP3 – Quantum correlated photons triplets generator
  • WP4 – A quantum cryptography protocl and the associated algorithms
  • WP5 – Intellectual property protection and dissemination
  • WP6 – Consortium coordination

Contributions to the STAR programme objectives:

  • Develop of a secure key distribution protocol for space and related applications, based on a correlated photon triplets generator.
  • This project  will contribute to this quantum information studies.
