Objective(s) of the Activity: To design and develop at breadboard level a mechanism allowing to maintain a steady image on the focal plane of a spinning IR astrometry satellite and reproducing the behaviour of a detector working in TDI (Time Delay and Integration) mode. In particular, this activity shall encompass: 1. Specifications, design and overall engineering of the mechanism;2. Manufacturing and assembly of one Elegant Breadboard;3. Environmental, functional and performance testing at low temperature (140 K)of the EBM.The activity will allow assessing the feasibility and performance of such concept for IR astrometry.The target TRL is 4/5 compatible with an Elegant Breadboard Model (EBM), i.e. a breadboard model which undergoes the environmental tests considered critical for the mechanism functional, performance and lifetime verification.
