The purpose of this activity is to validate low-cost development concepts applied to X-band SSPAs and its applicability to EQM. An X-band SSPA EQM will be developed and tested in the frame of the activity targeting new space markets. The activity goal is detailed design and development of an X-band SSPA EQM followed by qualification tests justifying that the unit is able to sustain and operate inside the harsh space environment. This activity shall design and test an X-band SSPA EQM compatible for seamless integrationwith a selected transponder platform. The targeted improvement is accelerated development time and testing under low-costs. Current TRL is estimated to 4, the activity target is to achieve TRL7.
