The primary objective to be achieved is to develop a series of customized indicators integrating EO and non-EO datasets into a framework that can effectively characterize priority issues associated with natural capital evaluation and landscape value assessment. It is planned to initiate the development for the Mazovia region and elaborate a road map to extend this monitoring and assessment approach to the entire Polish territory based on the results and feedback from the verification exercises. To achieve this, the contractor shall execute the following tasks: Identification of the main natural capital and landscape value indicators and a characterization of their current performance and the scope for increased integration of EO derived information Elaboration and testing ofan improved set of indicators integrating customised EO information (habitat fragmentation and linear structures, landscape mix, etc) Development and delivery of a prototype service for monitoring ecosystem status, natural capital and landscape value for the region of Mazovia Promoting the use of spatial data from the MSIP (Miejski System Informacji Przestrzennej / Municipal Spatial Information System) – Interactive Map Portal from Copernicus data Identification of thematic areas for new products based on EO, corresponding to information needs International identification and dissemination of good practices in the use of EO, including Sentineldata in regional planning Promoting available information based on EO among shareholders of spatial planning in Poland
