The Primary objectives of I-HAB are:.Provide a habitable system capable to maintain an environment suitable for sustaining human life throught the duration of a mission..Provide docking port and resoures.Provide resources to pressurised and unpressurised scientific experiments. Provide external attachment points for the Gateway Robotic arm.Provide internal attachment points for Gateway Internal robots.In addition, and of equal importance, the I-HAB project aims to prepare for long duration human spaceflight to deep space, including to develop and test the technologies in the field of life support system, lightweight structures and equipment. The project is also seen as a way to further develop social and economic benefits coming from having ESAs astronauts operating ESAsbuilt human spaceflight infrastructures.
