The objective of this activity is to investigate how innovative combinations of materials, topological design and additive manufacturing processes can create new or enhanced functionalities in structures and parts intended for space applications. This shall be demonstrated through the development of a powder-based 4D printing process for NiTi shape memory alloys and the associated modelling. The developed process will be applied to the design, modelling, manufacturing and characterisation of a component demonstrator for space mechanism applications. NOTE: This activity is currently in the GSTP Work Plan but will only be implemented after confirmationof financial support from Delegations. The final list of participating states will be known at tender issue.
