To develop a cryogenic vibration isolator to minimise the sensitivity of the Focal Plane Array (FPA) to external exported vibrations. To survive the launch loads, a hold down release “mechanism” shall be incorporated, which will enable the minimisation of the conductive loads through allowing the sizing of the support structure to the minimum required for onground and in-orbit operations, andnot to the launch loads as currently the case. Procurement Policy: C(1) = Activity restricted to non-prime contractors (incl. SMEs). For additional information please go to EMITS news “Industrial Policy measures for non-primes, SMEs and R&D entities in ESA programmes”.
