Interference affecting on board equipment (e.g. TTC, transponder, mission receiver etc.) is becoming an important, if not a major, threat to multiple satellite systems.Mitigation architectures and techniques are to be investigated in order to minimize or even eliminate the impact on the receiving equipment. This activity aims to:-Investigate potential architectures and processing techniques, on detection, classification, cancellation and tracking of interference signals-Analyse the performance and sensitivity in the different interference scenarios-Determine the error budgets in the classification and tracking of interference signals-Trade off the performance analysis results against complexity and cost of implementation-Develop the necessary tools and perform the supporting testing to validate for the proposed mitigation techniques. The focus of this study is on the detection, classification and tracking of interference signals from space, preconditioned to the localization.
