Model-based mission assurance consists of the integration of RAMS methods into the MBSE by embeddinguncertainty and risk in the system model thus enabling probabilistic risk assessments. There is a strong need to properly integrate the RAMS analysis within the MBSE tool and focus on auto generation of analysis, tracking critical items and follow/identify potential failure propagation issues from very early stages and throughout the entire development of the spacecraft. It is to be noted that there is no full implementation of a RAMS viewpoint within MBSE. The aim of the activity is to further contribute to the improvement of the co-engineering between system and RAMS during the end-to-end spacecraft design and development phase.This activity encompasses the following specific tasks:- Model reliability to ensure functionality of system;- Model fault tolerance and ensure compliance with requirements;- Implement the identification tracking of SPF during project phases;- Implement adequate execution of fault management behaviours;- Model operational availability;- Investigate options to integrate maintainability;- Enable reliability system trade-offs;- Implement auto-generating RAMS analysis (e.g. FMECA and FTA) capabilities;- Apply to a specific case (complex ESA satellite mission) the developed models in order to test the integrationof RAMS within MBSE tool;- Identify and analyse the lessons learnt points of improvement.Software shall be delivered under an ESA Software Community Licence, so that any individuals or entitieswithin ESA Member States can access to it and can provide update to the community of users.
