Kickstart Activities resulting from thematic calls will be funded at 75%, with ESA providing up to 60,000 per contract. Participating Member States will give their authorisation of funding in batches of activities.ESA will invite proposals for Kickstart Activities on the basis of thematic calls. An outline proposal will not be required; solely a single document 15-20 pages in length.ESA iscommitted to a rapid evaluation process, with approved activities starting within six weeks from evaluation. Kickstart Activites aredesigned to enable startups and SMEs to undertake short Feasibility Studies that explore new service and application concepts whichmake use of space capabilities. Successful Kickstart Activities can be further developed into commercially viable businesses withfollow-up support from IAP in the form of a Demonstration Project.
