The objective of this procurement is to procure a transition batch of Galileo satellites with evolved specifications, focusing on the development of flexible, higher power and reconfigurable satellites, to ensure the continuity of the Galileo services provision in the years 2025 onward and to initiate the technological transition to the Galileo Second Generation of satellites.The procurement action is organised as follows: · a baseline for a total of 4 satellites from two separate Contractors dual source (2 baselinesatellites per Contractor); · with the possibility to order 2 options of 2 additional satellites in each contract.The selected procurement procedure is competitive dialogue (EU Financial Regulations).The contract is currently planned to be performed in phases.
