This procurement (ESA is acting in the name and on behalf of the European Union represented by the European Commission) shall cover satellite coordination services and satellite launch insurance services and shall be implemented by means of a multi-supplier Framework Contract and Work Orders, whereby the aim is to insure the risks by apportioning them among different insurers acting as co-insurers. The procurement shall cover Galileo Batch3 Satellites during launch phases from lift-off until separation from the launchers dispenser. Each launch will be performed in dual launch configuration using either the Ariane-62 or the Soyuz ST-B launchers. The first Work Order to be procured with the Framework Contract shall cover the launch of 4 satellites.The procurement will be subject to Open Competition for all economic operators in accordance with EU procurement rules.
