The overall objective of the activity is to conduct the Mission Feasibility Preparation Phase of a commercially enabled In-Situ Resource Utilisation (ISRU) demonstration mission. This is aimed at developing the technical and programmatic data-package required for informing a decision on the full implementation of this mission, as an element of E3P Period 2, at CM19.The detailed objectives of the activity are to:1) Establish the overall mission and system requirements as well as consolidate the mission architecture andconcept of operations;2) Confirm the end-to-end mission feasibility together with industrial service providers, based on private sector-developed key capabilities;3) Initiate the ISRU demonstrator payload development including development of breadboards;4) Consolidate ESAs role during the mission preparation and operations phase and identify possible Agency furnished items to be provided;5) Establish the full lifecycle costs, risk mitigation strategy and implementation plan of the mission;6) Receive committing service offers from commercial providers in line with the target Agency procurement ceiling.
