ESA has the intention to release an ITT for the Phase A/B of the ESA Exobiology Facility. This facility will support the performance on the ISS of the following experiments, selected within the ILSRA-2014 exercise, related to exobiology research:1.OREcube2.ICEcube3.EXOcube4.MASE-in-Space5.ROTIFER6.GENESISS7.BiosignThe Exobiology facility shall be composed of two main units:. A common platform, containing the common subsystems as data handling, power distribution, thermal control, interface to ISS.. Scientific modular units, to be installed on the common platform, containing the biological samples and the scientific instruments necessary for the in-situ analysis of the samples.Main scope of the Phase A/B will be the conceptual definition of the common platform and of the scientific modular units, the identification of the most suitable external platform on the ISS (e.g. NREP, Bartolomeo),and the operational scenario which will allow the performance of all the above mentioned experiments. Following the conceptual definition, the Phase A/B activities will continue up to and including the Preliminary Design Review of the facility, together with a programmatic assessment of the subsequent Phase C/D.It shall also be noted that ESA, has also initiated the procurement of the ground models of the UV-VIS and IR-Spectrometers necessary for the performance of EXOcube, ICEcube and OREOcube. The Phase A/B of the Exobiology facility shall continuously consider and take into account the outcome of the work performed on the Spectrometers. In the frame of this procurement, prior to releasing the ITT, the Agency intends to issue an ESR Consultation on the list of open ITTs. Considering the importance of the ESR (Experiment Scientific Requirements) documents and with the aim of ensuring the feasibilityof the ESRs requirements, the purpose of this consultation is to collect comments and questions from industry concerning the ESRsapplicable to this activity. These comments and questions can be answered during the period that the ESR Consultation is open and/or at a Briefing meeting to be organised at the end of the opening period of the ESR Consultation. After the closure of the consultation, the Agency may decide to update the ESR(s). In any case, the final requirements applicable will be those published at the timeof issuing the ITT.
