The Swiss contribution to the EUSO development is intended to be the MEMS pointing device within the laser altimeter. To raise the maturity level of this development, breadboards of this MEMS mirror are being developed (in parallel with other similar activities for other subsystems) as a stand-alone subsystem-level proof of concept addressing critical design issues via representative testing. The objectives of the activity are as follows: -.Design, manufacture and test of an EBB for functional and performance testing ofa MEMS laser pointing mechanism.Planning, providing materials for, analysis and conclusion and way forward the testing phase concerning the LID and LIC hazards of a MEMS laser pointingThe MEMS Mirror Assembly design for the purposes of the phase B2 EBB is the result of the phase B1 activity. While this design has been envisaged to be used for the EBB, it is intended to be easily translatable into a flight design. Figure is for information only as design will be updated by CSEM at the beginning of phase B2 activity.Critical issues to be addressed during this phase B2, which the activities described in this SoW shall support, are.Function and performance of the MEMS mirror assembly.Suitability of the MEMS mirror assembly with regard to issues of Laser Induced Contamination (LIC) and Laser Induced Damage (LID)
