Following preliminary investigations and upon expert advice, the Agency has decided to build a new consolidated Computer Room, which will be located on the first floor of building Eg. Experience from past analysis has highlighted the undesirable situation at ESTEC where some 70 racks of various computer equipment are spread over 19 non-purpose built computer rooms throughout the establishment. The ESTEC Main Computer Room (EMCR) project is intended to house all of these servers in a single, fit for purpose location.
