The cyber-threat landscape has moved from a traditional non-organised approach to a very well organised and crime-intended model. Cyber criminals are operating large malicious IT infrastructures that are efficiently used to ensure high success rate attacks. In such scenario, the ESACERT Team has the mandate for the monitoring of ESA cyber security and to pro-active intervene, in case of attacks or security incidents occurring to any devices connected to ESA networks. ESACERT manages already an Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) system, that is part of a more wider set of cyber security tools and services used to monitor and control ESA security posture.A new EDR system shall be procured and offer a more structured and service based model, capable to address the increased complexity and frequency of cyber-attacks.The new EDR service shall allow the detection across the endpoints, helping ESACERT to discover, investigate and respond against very advanced threats and broader attack campaigns stretching across multiple systems located anywhere in the network. The EDR services shall be fully integrated with the ESA Corporate SIEM to correlate alarms originating from the endpoints with others relevant security events gathered from ESA security controls. The combination of the above, shall constitute the base for an evolving security monitoring platform for ESA for the next 5 years.
