The scope of this study, which is a joint EDA/ESA undertaking, is to assess potential requirements feasibility taking into account the 2025-30 horizon, architectural solutions and roadmap of technologies needed for future defence Earth Observation missions as defined by EDA. This study does not entail classified information. This study is initially based upon preliminary needs and governance/partnership options among stakeholders that were derived by EDA from the analysis of possible functions of security-related EU engagements. It will focus on the analysis of the requirements, associated architectural modelling, the development of an assessment model, the analysis of the current Earth observation assets, in view of the development of a Space Based Full Operational Capability tocover the requirements over time supported by the system requirements, the associated impact assessment and the programmatic dimensions.
