The envisaged procurement will cover the activities needed to define, develop and validate a reference architecture and related implementation of a generic EO Exploitation Platform, as well as its interconnection within a Network of Resources. Initially the procurement will focus in three main domain areas (Federated Identity Management and Authentication plus Authorisation, Processing plus Production Chaining, Data Provisioning and Management plus Accounting) but these are likely to evolve as the know-how and expertise in the field evolve. The architecture and implementation is expected to be based on open standards and open source. The initial procurement will select the prime contractor and the end-to-end system team; who will subsequently select subcontractors for the different domain areas and the operations team.More information can be found in the related slides of the information day at http://eoscience4society.esa.int
