Satellites are being prepared to be removed from orbit at the end of life. In the frame of the removal from orbit future satellites, the objective of this activity is to verify through testing, the functional and performance requirements of: Design for Removaltechnologies: Rendezvous markers, mechanical interface for capture, interfaces for disposal loadsCapture equipment bay for an Active Debris Removal (ADR) chaser satellite: Including the sensors for monitoring the target (e.g. cameras), navigation chain (e.g. image processing algorithms), capture equipment (e.g. hexapod, gripper, visual servoing system) and the equipment for transferring the disposal loads (e.g. clamping mechanism).
