Commercially, the development of a more vibrant market in space for in-orbit activities (e.g. Cooperative Attitude and Orbital Control System takeover, assembly, refurbishment, manufacturing and refuelling) is both expected and desired in economic terms so that operators can receive profitable returns on their initial investment. To support a competitive In-Orbit Servicing Market, ESA is considering presenting at the ESA Council meeting at Ministerial level, foreseen to be held in 2022, a proposal to place contract(s) with Service Provider(s) and Customer(s) for performing In-Orbit Servicing.The objective of this activity is to prepare a complete proposal(s) for an In-Orbit Servicing Mission.
