EMITS description HEEPS/MARE: HARMONY is a candidate concept for the 10th Earth Explorer (EE-10) mission. HARMONY aims at observingsmall-scale motion and deformation fields of the ocean surface, glaciers and ice sheets, and solid Earth. HARMONY consists of two bistatic passive Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) receive-only satellites, including an optical payload, flying in distant formation with Copernicus Sentinel-1. In parallel with the phase A system study, ESA will procure two activities for relevant end-to-end simulators, one to address the performance of the ocean products and one to address the performance of the optical products. End-to-end simulators for the interferometric land products are available from previous activities, and will be re-used for Harmony as part of thescience activities. The procurement in subject includes the Harmony End to End Performance Simulator for the ocean products (HEEPS/MARE). Subject to reception of good quality proposals, it is intended to place a single contract.
