Galileo Second Generation Satellites Batch1 are designed to embark units in charge of monitoring the low energy particles (e.g. electrons plasma). Those units are provided as Customer Undertaking (CU) to the Galileo Second Generation Satellites Batch1 Primes. Asbaseline, this acquisition plan concerns the procurement of the following deliverables: Six (6x) PMU recurring flight models (FM) with relevant ground support equipment. For those units, some components may be adapted to cope with the Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) environment and the extended lifetime of 15 years. Qualification and industrialisation activities are foreseen with nonrecurring costs. Two (2x) PMU engineering models (EM) are also procured and one EM is delivered to each of the two Prime contractors as items made available. The financial provision includes an estimate for the contractual baseline, a management reserve for classA changes and incentives for timely qualification and deliveries.The option includes four (4) recurring flight models and incentives on delivery.
