The goal of this research activity is the development of a high fidelity, high-speed state-to-state, numerical tool for the reliable determination of the aerothermal environment during the entry into the ice giant’s atmosphere. The numerical tools shall implement the most recent and accurate dynamical data for elementary processes and exploit the efficiency of modern computing systems.
