Requirements on the performance of spectral filters steadily increase. Demanding spectral performances require more and more complex coating layer stacks with an increased risk for absorption losses and scatter. In addition, thicker layer stacks cause stresses that deform the substrate leading to increased wavefront deformations. This activity focuses on the development of low loss and low absorption coatings with accurate stress control in order to maintain the wavefront error of the substrate. Within this activity design and manufacturing guidelines shall be established. The validity of the guidelines shall be proven by manufacturing and testing of breadboard filters.
