Update Reason: Tender issue

Optical telescope missions are limited on focal and aperture diameter size due to the limited accommodation space available in sidelauncher fairings. Moreover, the design and assembly of telescope structures are a lengthy and costly process because extreme shapeaccuracies need to be achieved on ground and maintained once in orbit under the space environment. If on the one hand, the successful implementation of deployable telescopes will allow embarking larger telescopes for Scientific and Earth Observation missions withrelation to the current limitations of volume under the fairing, the availability of Active Optics correction means will allow for looser tolerances for on-ground assembly and for the compensation of orbital disturbances to the required shape accuracies. The proposed activity aims at developing the means for deploying the secondary mirrors of space telescopes by supporting them on tape-springs and to confer active correction capabilities for compensating assembly errors on their pointing and position and the rejection of orbital disturbances. The activity consists of :- Issue of requirements to space telescope and down-flow of requirements to structural parts and mechanisms- Design optimization and manufacture of CFRP tape-springs- Design optimization of CFRP structural parts such as M2 spiders and frame- Design optimization and manufacture by AM of structural parts such as brackets- Selections of high-precision positioning mechanisms- Assembly of deployable telescope demonstrator- Modal, deployment, accuracy and active correction tests of demonstrator
