The ESA-EDA joint study Cyber Defence for Space consists of two phases. The joint study identifies critical space technologies thatpresent vulnerabilities with respect to cyber threats and in which European independence is essential. The objective of the Phase 1was to establish, a matrix of vulnerabilities of inherent electronic components, signal and data processing, software and hardware elements along with communications links and protocols. The Cyber Defence for Space Project Phase 2, subject of this ITT), implements selected recommendations from the Phase 1 and aims to demonstrate ESA and EDA capability to use Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) information provided by stakeholders for protection of space assets and detection and removal of cyber-attack vectors against those space systems.
