The objective of CryoSat+ Antarctica is to develop and validate novel methods to better characterise sea ice in Antarctica and other complex sea ice conditions including marginal sea ice. In addition, the project will explore the potential to infer ocean meso-scale variability through sea-ice cracks, providing a circumpolar-wise vision of eddy energy under the Antarctic sea-ice, and especially on continental shelves.
