Update Reason: Tender issue
Recent Earth Observation (EO) instruments require an extremely high accuracy for the characterisation of the Instrument Spectral Response Function (ISRF). This leads to lengthy and costly characterisation test programs during the Assembly, Integration, and Test (AIT) phase of the instrument. This activity will focus on the investigation and development of in-orbit means for ISRF characterisation that could potentially save cost and schedule during on-ground AIT. The activity includes the following tasks :- hardware needs for the instrument and associated requirements- definition of an overall characterisation concept and associated processing algorithms- schedule/cost/risk trade between a pure on-ground characterisation and a combined on-ground/in-orbit characterisation- breadboard demonstrating the characterisation concept
