The European Space Agency has implemented a quality management system – in compliance with the ISO 9001 Standard – with the aim of fostering a common quality culture across the organisation. Increasing accountability for satisfying the requirements of Programmes and Activities entrusted to ESA to the full satisfaction of customers and users as well as providing the means for continuous improvement of the effectiveness of the Agencys organisation and management practices were the main motivation in this respect. Followinga phased implementation plan, the Agency has obtained and maintained certification of all its directorates against the ISO 9001:2015 standard, and three business units have adopted AS9100 (Quality Management Systems – Requirements for Aviation, Space and Defence Organisations). Furthermore, the Agency is pursuing the implementation of the ISO 27001 standard for Information Security ManagementSystems, initially restricted to two business units.The scope of this procurement is to secure the services of a single registrar for the three management standards. The successful bidder shall provide ESA with the assurance that it continues to meet the requirements of the subject international standards as well as providing advice for the improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of its management system.
