The call for proposals for Space4Rail Downstream Applications in ARTES 4.0 is comprised of several thematic domains supporting industry-specific initiatives related to the digitalisation of railway. This call aims to support the exploitation of space-based assets (e.g. satellite navigation, satellite communications and/or earth observation) in innovative and sustainable applications/services:i) related to future Control, Command and Signaling (CCS) in the European Rail systemii) improving performance and attractiveness of the railway.Proposals in terms of feasibility studies or demonstration projects are welcome from space and non-space companies, from large and small enterprises and start-ups. The tendering process and guidelines are described in the Announcement of Opportunities (AO).
