For New Space projects, where a medium to large production volume of nanosats and smallsats is foreseen, it is of paramount importance to cut the costs for integration and visual inspection activities while guaranteeing maximum quality and traceability of the work performed, in addition to the possibility of adapting the automatic procedures for an agile implementation of lessons learned..This TRL 5 project aims to use Artificial Intelligence and an Industry 4.0 approach to develop automatic systems for integration and visual inspection of space hardware. The human operator will be guided by the computer in performing his/her task after the AI has been trained adequately based on a dataset of inputs related to the specific projects. A demo with a breadboard based on COTS hardware will be released at the end of the activity in ESA.
