In the context of the ESA Satellite 4 5G initiative (S45G), ESA and 5Groningen have started a collaboration (https://business.esa.int/news/ESA-5Groningen-Collaboration) for developing and piloting new service concepts based on 5G and space in the thematic areas of healthcare, transport, energy, agriculture and the environment. Additionally, specific use cases are proposed based on the needs of stakeholders in the Groningen region. The present announcement of opportunities is addressed to potential Bidders intending to study the economic and technical viability of services integrating space and 5G networks and pilot them in the Groningen region. This opportunity is part of the ARTES IAP “Integrated Applications Promotion” element programme and therefore the activities proposed in response to this call need to comply with ARTES IAP programme objectives.
