The Phase A2/B1 System Accommodation Study shall address all of the mission elements i.e. space segment, ground segment and operations. Special attention will be given to the reduction of costs, and in particular recurrent costs for a two or three satellite programme. A previous platform design with sufficient heritage shall be retained as far as possible, with the exception of modifications which are needed in order to meet the modified performance requirements, address the lessons learned, and to increase the operational robustness and lifetime. Co-engineering activities shall be performed together with the Instrument Consolidation Study industrial team.
