The objective of this activity is to investigate techniques to improve radiation pattern of a mesh reflector antenna by enabling reflector shaping and improve surface accuracy by optimising net density over the surface. This will allow the generation of contouredbeam, the minimization of faceting losses and the reduction of grating lobes that are inherent to the mesh reflector. This is of strong interest for C to Ka-band and will enlarge the applicability domain of mesh reflectors.
