In the last decades advancements in the simulation tools have allowed engineers to be able to investigate complex problems already in the early phase. In particular modelling of launch vehicle dynamics has been quite a challenge due to the highly multidisciplinary problem. The benefit of new multibody methodology will allow also to establish the stiffness requirements in the mechanical designof launchers already in the early phase. In the past dedicated developments on an existing multibody tool (DCAP) focused for aerospace applications were carried out to be able to properly analyse multi-payload separation, coupling between small-loop control (electric TVC), LV structural dynamics and big-loop control for feasibility studies. However the future of this tool is no longer guaranteed by TAS-I. Therefore it is highly envisaged to replicate and enhance launcher ad-hoc simulation features in current tools. This will be done by developing a library module for an existing multibody dynamics tool. Procurement Policy: C(1) = Activity restricted to non-prime contractors (incl. SMEs).
